The company's highest honor for individuals and teams was established in 1985 as Johnson Controls marked its 100th anniversary.The Chairman's Award for Leadership Excellence, established in 2006, recognizes individuals with people reporting to them who embody the Johnson Controls Leader Expectations Model criteria and who demonstrate a high level of community involvement.
Chairman's Award Judging Criteria
The annual Chairman's Award for Customer Satisfaction and Employee Ingenuity is based on the following criteria:- What results supported our plan to be a global growth company?
- What has been the impact on customer satisfaction?
- Identify the project's degree of ingenuity and innovation.
- What is the potential for sharing the achievement or outcome to support continuous improvement, or to become a best business practice?
- How did the individual or team help demonstrate a culture of global or regional employee and leader development, or influence employees to be involved and engaged?
- How did the results help to create a more comfortable, safe and sustainable environment?
